Using your Chrome Browser and install BidPanther from the Chrome Store
- Install & sign in: Open any auction in a supported browser and log in inside the auction window.
- Toolbar at a glance: Live auctions, current price, unique bidders (last 5m), BPM (bids/min).
Rule of thumb: BPM < 11 = easing momentum → worth a look.
- Pro not showing after upgrade? Clear cookies/cache → reload the auction → sign in again.
🧭 Core Auction HUD (What it means)
- Bid history panel: Each bidder’s total bids, last bid time, and single vs auto (last 5m highlighted).
- Bidder colors:
- Blue = wins with paid (real) bids → more predictable.
- Red = wins with voucher/free bids → tends to overbid.
- Gray/Black = new/unknown.
- 💡 Tip: Two+ “red whales” can drag auctions past fair value—avoid long wars.
- Click a username: See recent wins, voucher %, overbid ratio, win %, notes (sharks, teamers, tilt).
📊 Number Line (Price Bands)
Two modes
- Item Mode (best with ≥ 30 records): exact item’s closes.
- Retail Mode (fallback with < 30): items within ±4% retail (last 2 months).
Markers you’ll see
- Min, Q1 / Median (Q2) / Q3, AVG, DOW (same weekday average),
- Bands: Hot → Straddle → Safe Straddle → Very Hot → Max (Q4)
How to use
- Prefer Item Mode when possible.
- Tight Q1–Q3 = steadier endings; easier to time.
- If DOW sits left of AVG, that weekday tends to close cheaper.
⏱️ Auction Vitals (Watch these)
- Max Real Bids 🧮: Rough cap before BIN makes sense →
Retail / 0.60.
- Auction Duration: Long = entrenched war risk.
- Price Prediction 🤖:
- If Predicted ≤ Current on a LOCKED auction → end may be near.
- If Predicted ≪ Current and BPM ≥ 17 (not locked) → irrational fight; stand down.
- BPM (bids/min):
< 10–11 = thinning; ≥ 17 = frenzy/war.
- Total bidders: More unique bidders → higher expected close.
- Heat in history: Red/orange clusters = multiple auto-bidders firing.
📝 Practical Playbook (Step-by-Step)
Before entering
1) Scan list: Favor BPM < 11 + fewer recent unique bidders.
2) Open & read Number Line: Check Q-bands, Hot/Straddle, and DOW.
3) Scout users: Click 3–5 active names; avoid rooms with 2+ red whales and high overbid ratios.
While watching
4) Time your entry: Enter near Hot → Straddle when BPM eases and reds cool.
If prediction is catching live price on a locked auction, prep your push.
5) Auto-bidder (Quick-Fire) best practices:
- Start late but safe; avoid overlapping others’ bursts.
- Use small bursts (3–8 bids) with min/max price windows.
- Test latency—over-tight last-tick settings can miss and waste bids.
When to back off
6) Walk if:
- BPM spikes (≥ 17) and prediction lags far below current.
- Two red whales duel past Safe Straddle.
- You’re nearing Max Real Bids (

7) Pre-commit your cap & BIN plan. If you’ll BIN, do it earlier rather than torching bids in a sunk-cost spiral.

- No-New-Bidders threshold 🧱: After the cutoff price, only earlier bidders can continue.
Make one qualifying “in” bid early, then coast and gather intel.
- BidBuddy 🤖: Use it to avoid missing resets; don’t spam-click against your own BidBuddy.
- BIN (Buy It Now) 💳: Paying retail returns spent bids as credit.
If your path trends to BIN, stop battling and execute BIN to preserve time/value.
Habits that help
- ✅ Qualify, then coast: Get “in” before cutoff; profile the room while others burn bids.
- ✅ Bid windows, not constant pressure: Short BidBuddy bursts (3–8 bids) during calmer BPM pockets.
- ✅ Target fatigue, not prestige: Mid-tier items/accessories draw fewer whales.
- ✅ Time-of-day edges: Weekday mornings/late nights (your TZ) = lighter competition.
- ✅ Shadow the value: Hard cap =
(Retail – target savings) / 0.60.
If live price + your consumed bids > target savings, exit.
- ✅ Read the room: If 2–3 names keep insta-resetting, treat it as a guarded pot—redeploy.
